Park University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, appointment effective Fall 2025. All areas of Computer Science specialization will be considered, but we are especially interested in applicants with experience or specialization in Cybersecurity. Position Accountabilities
Duties and responsibilities include active engagement in teaching, research, student advising, institutional services and curricular development activities at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Job Location:
Park University's flagship campus is located in Parkville, MO, within the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.
Position Requirements:
Processed at the time of employment, a PhD in Computer Science or closely related area from an accredited institution.
(ABD can be considered with commitment to completion within one year after the effective date of employment.)
Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence with evidences from prior teaching experiences which could include preparing lectures, delivering lectures, designing assignments, grading assignments, and advising or mentoring students.
Demonstrated potential for maintaining an active research agenda.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experiences as a sole instructor.
Experience in teaching using Canvas or other LMS tools.
Course development experience or evidence of the ability to develop both in-person and online courses.
Relevant research and work experiences - we are especially interested in applicants with experience or specialization in Cybersecurity.
