Offer Description

Post-doctoral fellowship of 12 months, renewable for another 12 months, to work on the Thematic Project SoIA  at the Department of Computing and Mathematics, Ribeirão Preto Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters (FFCLRP), University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. Specifically, the fellow will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, such as Deep Learning, LLM, Generative AI, and Graph-based Learning, capable of learning from different data sources and integrating information from various formats and devices to improve decision-making in soybean cultivation.

 

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields, within the last seven years. In addition to expertise in AI, desirable qualifications include: i) experience in mathematical and statistical modeling; ii) experience in computer vision and image processing; and iii) proficiency in programming and software development.

The position is open to both Brazilian and international applicants. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral Fellowship  from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) with a monthly stipend of R$ 12,000.00 and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
