The École Supérieure de la Production de la Mode et du Luxe, which brings together two brands — La Fabrique and ISIPCA — is a school of the Paris Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI Paris Île-de-France). These two brands combine their excellence to perpetuate and reinvent the technical, commercial, and managerial know-how essential to the professions of the French industries: ISIPCA specializes in perfume, cosmetics, food flavourings, and sales, while La Fabrique focuses on fashion and the design of retail and distribution spaces.

Mission

Reporting to the General Director, you will be responsible for the academic community (including internal faculty and external lecturers under short-term contracts or service agreements), as well as for the Research and Academic Intelligence units. In collaboration with the General Director, you will also contribute to enhancing the school’s visibility and reputation.

As a member of the Executive Committee, you will contribute to the strategic decision-making of the institution, proposing new strategic directions and translating them into actionable operational plans.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Ensuring a thorough academic and scientific watch in the fields of perfumery, cosmetics, and food flavourings;
• Organizing and activating the Scientific Committee, with a focus on the continuous improvement of all academic services;
• Actively initiating, developing, and managing the school’s research activities in close alignment with the pedagogical strategy, with the aim of enriching our training programs;
• Leading a team composed of lecturers and research faculty, and preparing recruitment plans for future faculty members and external lecturers;
• Managing the department’s operations with an emphasis on financial balance and high-quality faculty experience, ensuring overall coherence of academic human resources, pedagogical quality, and organizational efficiency;
• Representing the Head of the Department in various internal and external bodies when required;
• Contributing to the promotion of the department and the development of partnerships;
• Stimulating innovation and creativity, encouraging and fostering collaborative and cross-functional work. You will prepare and manage the consolidated department budget, ensure reporting, and make necessary adjustments;
• In coordination with each member of the Executive Committee, developing institutional, academic, and professional partnerships, including internationally, to improve educational pathways and programs and to promote the school. You will also work on projects related to pedagogical innovation and digital course development;
• Collaborating with the Student Pathways and Pedagogy Department to define teaching workloads and annual leave calendars for faculty.

Profile

• You hold a PhD in Chemistry and have demonstrated expertise in academic team management, as well as significant experience in a similar role, particularly in research, within the higher education sector and as a member of an Executive Committee. You are an experienced leader with strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
• You are a team player with solid project management skills (coordinating stakeholders and resources across departments, effective communication, risk and contingency management);
• Creative, dynamic, and committed, you know how to mobilize a team (including both internal and external faculty in French and English) around innovative projects;
• You possess excellent relationship-building skills, a keen sense of priorities, and are fully aligned with a development-driven approach;
• Your ability to influence, diplomacy, energy, and expertise will be key to your success in this role. With intercultural experience, you are fluent in English. Proficiency in an additional language would be an asset.
