Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Software Engineering)

The Department of Computing and Mathematics is a successful academic community of students and staff committed to achieving high-quality teaching, research and enterprise. The Department has a long track record of obtaining research council funding and has a growing portfolio of projects. Much of this is grounded in our work with the region's vibrant digital sector. In the upcoming REF2021 we expect to see further advances previously made in REF2014 and we are committed to further improving the quality and volume of this research.
Research in the department is closely aligned with the Centre for Advanced Computational Science (CfACS) which conducts world‐leading research in computer science, distributed across five main themes:

Role
You will be a passionate academic that can flexibly balance teaching with the development of an excellent and accelerating profile in research and knowledge exchange within the Centre of Advanced Computational Science.
Ideal Candidate
We are seeking applicants who have expertise in the field of Software Engineering either through academic research or professional practice. You will have in-depth knowledge of current Software Engineering tools and techniques.
You will be expected to have higher education level teaching or mentoring experience in Software Engineering, and have a PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline or have the equivalent industrial experience in Software Engineering.
You will be a strong collegiate team player with the ability to impassion and motivate student/staff communities through your contributions, collaboration and co-creation.
