Research Assistant/Associate

Applications are invited for one Research Assistant/ Research Associate position on the project "The Many Dimensions of Well-being", an ESRC/AHRC funded project that investigates how policy makers can manage multidimensional indicators of well-being to make them policy relevant and legitimate to the people affected by the use of these indicators.

This post will be located in the Bennett Institute for Public Policy, a major, University-wide initiative housed in the Department of Politics and International Studies and supported by the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences.

The Research Assistant/ Associate will work on Workstream 1 of the project entitled "Ethics and Epistemology of Well-being Indicators" overseen by Professor Diane Coyle and Dr. Anna Alexandrova.

The aim of this workstream is to analyse whether and when measures of wellbeing can legitimately vary in different contexts of their application, and to develop practices for ethical measurement of wellbeing for policy purposes, recognizing the importance of democratic legitimacy and public engagement.
