Responsible for undergraduate teaching of multiple lab and tutorial sections of second, third and fourth- year courses as assigned by the Head. An example schedule for an academic year is:

Fall term: ENGI 2102 or CHEE 3634

Winter term: ENGI 2203 and CHEE 4844

Spring/Summer term: Lab improvement and course preparation.

The incumbent will be required to:

  • Prepare new course material
  • Give class lectures
  • Instruct in tutorial and laboratory sections
  • Advise and guide students

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering (or a closely related field) and hold either a Masters’ or Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering (or a closely related field) and have a passion for teaching undergraduate university-level courses in these disciplines. Candidates must be registered with Engineers Nova Scotia as a Professional Engineer.

The incumbent will participate in departmental meetings and contribute to general activities in the Department related to delivery of the undergraduate program.

The incumbent will report to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering through the Head, Department of Process Engineering and Applied Science.
